Culture, History, People.

Vivir México is a 5-week hybrid program that includes online assignments, service learning, and in-country experiences. It is one of the least expensive study abroad programs that the UA offers. The purpose of this program is to encourage the participation of students who do not traditionally study abroad. The program familiarizes undergraduate students with the history, culture, and heritage of Mexico. It will be presented in English with interpreters available when necessary.

Vivir is a great way for us (students and faculty) to understand our neighbor to the south - its history, its people, its government, its culture. It is a society that has much to offer us in Arizona and the U.S. It will be an experience you will never forget.

Dr. Richard Ruiz, Professor, Teaching Learning & Sociocultural Studies, The University of Arizona

Vivir is the most rewarding experience I ever had as a student, I feel like I gave just as much as I learned in participating in the service part of this program, I grew as a person from this experience.

Marvin Portillo, Undergraduate student, The University of Arizona
